Connecting Words

  • Use connecting words to add information or ideas to the previous sentence.  Always use connecting words at the beginning of a sentence.

    It's raining heavily today.  Therefore,* I will wear my raincoat and rain boots when I go out.

    *Remember! Always use a comma (,) after a connecting word.
