Adjectives Ending with -ed

 

  • Adjectives Ending with -ed

  • Some adjectives end with -ed.  These adjectives usually express emotions and how people feel. 

    Be careful! Only use these adjectives for people and animals, not things, because things can't feel.

    Most -ed adjectives are based on a verb. The -ed form of an adjective is usually the same as the past participle form of a verb.

    verb + -ed = adjective
    excite + -ed excited 
    The audience is excited about the show.
