Such (in english language)

  • Such 

  • Use such before an adjective and noun for emphasis.  You can use such with countable and uncountable nouns.

    Always use such before the adjective.
    -Thank you for giving me such great advice. (such adjective + uncountable noun)
    -It was such good movie.* (such + adjective + a/an + countable noun)

    *Remember! Always use a/an with singular countable nouns and such.  Always put the article after such.
    Joe and Holly have such a beautiful house.
    Joe and Holly have a such beautiful house.
