• Use reciprocal pronouns when two or more subjects do the same action to the other. There are two reciprocal pronouns: each other and one another.  These pronouns have the same meaning.

  
  

  Reciprocal Pronoun

  -Josie and Cindy hug each other/one another.

  (Josie hugs Cindy, and Cindy hugs Josie.)

  
  

  Reflexive Pronoun

  -Troy and Kay hug themselves.

  (Troy hugs himself, and Kay hugs herself.)
