accommodation (n.) A place to live or stay for a certain amount of time I am moving to a new town and need to find accommodation. real estate (n.) Land or buildings that are owned by someone My husband owns some real estate in the city. buyer (n.) Someone who wants to buy or purchase something so it is owned by them After a long time, I have finally found a buyer for my old car. seller (n.) Someone who owns something and wants to sell it so they no longer own it The seller wants to get $300 for the bicycle he is selling. landlord (n.) A person who looks after real estate and manages its maintenance and expenses I called my landlord for help when the washing machine broke. rent (v.) To pay someone else to live in their house/apartment/building Until Peter can afford to buy a house, he will have to rent one. tenant (n.) A person who lives in the owner's house or apartment for a certain amount of money There are new tenants in the apartment downstairs.
