• Deliveries Glossary

• Delivery	The act of taking goods, letters, etc. to the people they have been sent to.	The post office will make the delivery in six days.
  Delivery truck	A vehicle that delivers mail and packages.	The delivery truck is outside with new packages.
  Shipment	Packages and goods that have been sent from one place to another.	We are getting a new shipment for our store today.
  Tracking number	A number assigned to a package that shows the location of the package.	Use the tracking number to find out when your package will arrive.
  Postage	The cost of sending a letter, package, or other piece of mail.	Postage for this letter is only 35 cents.
  Express	Delivery in 24 to 72 hours.	I need to send this package using express delivery.
