• Separable vs Inseparable 

• Read and listen. Listen again and repeat.

• Phrasal verbs can be separable or inseparable. 

  
  

  With separable phrasal verbs, the object can go after the phrasal verb OR in the middle of the phrasal verb.

  - Pick up the toys. (After the phrasal verb)

  - Pick the toys up.(In the middle of the phrasal verb)

  
  

  With inseparable phrasal verbs, the object is ALWAYS after the phrasal verb. 

  - Look after the dog.

  - Look the dog after.

  
  

• I'll put the dishes away after dinner.	I'll put away the dishes after dinner.
  Can you turn the radio up?	Can you turn up the radio?
