Phrasal Verbs & Direct Object Pronouns
- Read and listen. Listen again and repeat.
- Direct object pronouns ALWAYS go in the middle of a separable phrasal verb.- Pick the toys up. (Direct object = toys)- Pick them up. (Direct object pronoun = them)NEVER place the direct object pronoun after a separablephrasal verb.-
Pick up them Josh, your room is dirty. Clean it up after school. There is trash on the floor. Please pick it up. I can't hear the music on the radio, can you turn it up? Please wash the dishes and put them away.
