Without a Relative Pronoun With a Relative Pronoun This is the man. He sold me the house. This is the man who sold me the house. We bought a house. The house has a swimming pool. We bought a house that has a swimming pool. - *Be careful! Always keep the relative pronoun close to the noun it replaces to avoid confusion.-She wants to buy a house on this street that has a garden. (Does the house or the street have a garden?)-She wants to buy a house that has a garden on this street. (The house has a garden.)
