No Relative Pronouns
- Some relative pronouns can be left out of a sentence.When a relative pronoun is followed by the subject* of a relative clause, it can be left out.-The real estate agent that we met was very kind.(That is followed by the clause's subject, so it can be left out.)-The real estate agent we met was very kind.Relative pronouns followed by a verb* cannot be left out.-The real estate agent that helped us was very kind.(That is followed by a verb, so it cannot be left out.)

Jack lives next door to a tenant who has a dog. The tenant (who) Jack lives next door to has a dog. We want the apartment that is on the fifth floor. The apartment (that) we want is on the fifth floor. - *Remember! All clauses (dependent, independent, relative, etc.) have a subject and a verb.
