• Be Going To: Negatives and Questions

• To form negative sentences for future predictions or plans with be going to, add not after the verb be.

  
  

  subject + be + not + going to + base verb

  -He is not going to work overtime this week.

  
  

  To form yes/no questions, start the sentence with be.

  be + subject + going to + base verb

  -Is he going to work overtime this weekend? 

  -Yes, he is./No, he isn't.

  
  

  To form information questions, add a wh- word before be.

  wh- word + be + subject + going to + base verb

  -When is he going to work overtime?  This weekend.
