• Answering Tag Questions

• Tag questions are yes/no questions.  You can answer with a simple "yes" or "no."  For a more complete answer, use the same verb as the tag question.

  
  

  It’s sunny outside, isn’t it? 
  

  -Yes, it is.
  

  -No, it isn't.

  
  

  You don't play basketball, do you?

  -Yes, I do.

  -No, I don't. 

  
  

  You can add more information after a negative answer.

  You don't play basketball, do you?

  -No, I don't. I play baseball.
