Who's vs Whose

  • Who's vs Whose

  • Be careful!  There are two wh-word words that sound the same: who's and whose.

Who's is a contraction of two words. Use who's when a sentence uses who + is or who + has.

Whose is a possessive pronoun. Use whose to ask about who owns something.
