- Read and listen. Listen again and repeat.
- Prepositions of movement show movement from one place to another.Use down for movement from a high area to a lower area. Use up for movement from a low area to a higher area.Be careful! You can also use down and up for movement along a path.
The ball is going down the stairs. (high to low) The girl is walking up the stairs. (low to high) Go down the hall. The bathroom is on the right. (path) Go up the street and turn left. (path)
